This is specimen FMNH PR2081, the largest, most complete, most hyperbole-filled specimen of Tyrannosaurus on the planet (the known universe really).
In all seriousness it's a very nice specimen, but in many ways too much has already been written about it (especially on the interwebs). Still, my old reconstruction was out of date, so here is the update version.
Bones are neat. I wish my mom had let me buy the cat skeleton I saw in a thrift store when I was a kid. Oh well, now I have a nearly complete coyote skeleton soaking on my porch.

Yes and no. There are some substantial differences, but by and large if you looked at a life reconstruction based on the older version and one based on this I don't know how large of a difference there would be to most viewers. Maybe I'll add a bit more on those changes.
